I'd assume a stadium that size in a Carribean former British territory is primarily used for Cricket.

Seems like a bad deal for WKU fans. If you don't already have a passport, I doubt there is time to get one before the game.

Side note: Every adult really should have a passport in today's world since you need them for any international travel now.

I plan on getting one after the first of the year... I don't have any trips planned, but I'd hate to have to turn down an opportunity because I didn't have a passport.

Precisely. And they are good for 10 years for adults. Only 5 for children under 16 I believe. But its good to have ahead of time. As noted you can get expedited ones with agencies that 'hand walk through' but its a substantial fee.

My questions is: Why have a bowl game in the Bahamas?

 

I love WKU as much as the next townie who graduated from there, but I'm not spending that kind of money.

The Thomas Robinson Stadium is for soccer and track and field.

 

Obviously the can hold a football game there as well.

It is very nice. I can not imagine a prettier place to go see your team play a bowl game and to relax and enjoy. Western Kentucky hit a home run on this one.

Track and field makes perfect sense. They've got a pretty good squad there in the Bahamas which leads me to believe that if it's not as big as it is in Jamaica, it's probably pretty close.

I might be mistaken but seems a friend of my wife had to go to Chicago to get hers expedited about a year ago. I don't know the particulars but that seemed extreme measures to me since there are federal agencies in Cincinnati.
