Hoge for Highlands...for most of the game it was Hoge and some other kids in white uniforms playing against Owensboro.

I didn't get to see all the games, but from what I have read on here and in the paper, Donald Brooks had a pretty special game. With that said, he wasn't even voted the MVP. Nothing against Ryan Young, but I think Mr. Brooks truly deserved it. Add Ryan Young along with Donald Brooks to that list.

 

Ryan Young was pretty spectacular as well, 15/19 for 309 yards & 3 TD passes, like splitting hairs I guess. The only award those 2 care about anyways is the Championship Trophy, great performances.

Yeah, Merrill Hoge was doing pregame at the Bengals game and his cohort brought it up and they showed some clips and talked a little about the Birds and the younger Hoge. Daddy Hoge was saying how proud he was of his son. It was really cool to see Merrill Hoge and his son Beau Hoge on ESPN once again. I'm sure we will see more highlights of Beau Hoge in the coming years!

Hoge was great, but Urlage deserves mention for Highlands as well. He was a load all night, and has been through the playoffs. He was also the weapon out of the Highlands backfield that held on to the ball all night.

Spot on...I am sure this was a concern for many many coaches this yr trying to prepare for Highlands. Key on Hoge and Urhlage kills ya, key on Urhlage and it the Beau show.

I just noticed today that they credited Kendall's fumble to Griffin in the game stats. Hope that gets corrected.
