The Tigers had just as good of a season as Ashland and their feature back put up huge stats while Long was a 2nd option at Ashland.

Maybe, but it would be a long drive from Columbus to Ironton to be the second option for a former team.

So you are saying he has already moved or will definitely be moving to Columbus?

I am saying that is what I have heard. If I were a bettin man I would not pick Ironton.

I highly doubt it. Ironton had a transfer last season from South Point named D'angelo Palladino who is a stud and being recruited by several Big 10 schools. That was probably the biggest reason Long transferred. Can't see him going back to them and continue to play second fiddle to the guy that took his carries to begin with.

Hate to hear that, he's a great athlete. Families move though, its just part of the game. Keep us updated.

I saw that the rumors are true via Jake's twitter. Says his mother got a promotion for her job in Columbus and says it "is might be the best option". He also said the move is "nothing against the coaches or players". Today was his last day at Ashland.

There is not a Hamilton High, but there is Hamilton Township on the Southeast side right near Rickenbacker air base. They play good football there. Blue collar families with a pretty good performing school. I lived in this area for work for a few years.
