In hindsight did we get too excited about consecutive wins over Fort Campbell, Trigg, Webster, Monroe, and Adair? Wins over Graves (early) and Henderson (big but not good) were far and away Tilghman's best victories. Paducah Tilghman improved late but too many people misconstrued those Tornado wins as closing the gap on a really good South Warren club.

 

Paducah Tilghman looked like a team wanting badly to be a big play team running a ball control, grind out drives and points offense. The Wing T is not an offense given to producing the big play. In hindsight it appears that Tilghman was able to do that very thing (hit the big play) against their competition late in the season. SW took that away totally and PT got frustrated. The two bigs in the middle of SW defense disrupted the Tilghman inside runs and cut off blocking lanes off tackle.
