Yes, that's what I'm saying. They discussed on the sideline what they wanted and WHO they wanted on 3rd down. Then Ben tossed the pick, pretty easily understood. It was more to do with the situation on the field down and distance than time. Good lord.

Ok. I'm not done arguing. Tomlin isn't any good. I'm a Bengals fan so I love him being there. I've seen how terrible he is many many times.

Also if they discussed on the sideline before the play that on 3rd down they wanted different personnel it was still really really stupid to not waste at least 20 seconds before calling it. No matter why they called the TO when they did it was dumb.

What cost them giving up a TD was William Gay trying to jump a route to steal another pick 6 and getting roasted with no help over the top at all. You can hang this one on Tomlin because of your disdain for him, that's cool. But that TD had zero to do with that timeout. Think about it for one second. Let's say they score there and there's 5 seconds after the resuming kickoff return. Does that change Gay jumping that route? If there's one tic on the clock that is a touchdown. And regardless of the remaining time, there's no way in the world you expect Ben to throw a pick in the endzone there. You keep Marvin.

And for the record, I only say you're wrong when I think your wrong. And you're wrong alot in my opinion.

If you don't think they go to a knee with less than 20 seconds left you don't watch enough games.

Yeah, that's it. Team has won how many games? They're going to a knee. Please, go watch some baseball on youtube so you're sharp when that season rolls around.

So it is smart to give a team more time instead of running it down before giving them the ball back? You don't think that falls on the coach?

As an aside I'd bet a million dollars they would have gone to a knee on 2nd down if the TD play didn't work.

I can tell I've won the battle when you resort to dumb childish insults. It was a dumb coaching decision. Fact

No man, you're right. Tomlin is an idiot. You understand football way deeper than I do, that's obvious.

I never said that. I do however watch way more football than most. I have a monetary interest in just about every single game. I know for sure I wanted the Titans +7 and I know for sure I was happy as can be when the idiot called TO instantly. That's how I look at coaching decisions. If you are holding a Steelers or Titans betting ticket what do you hope the coach does/doesn't do. I holding a Titans ticket didn't want the clock to run down.

then continue to bet against Tomlin. Cash cow.

Very very true. They've covered 1 of their last 12 or 13 on the road as a 6 point or higher favorite. He's not very good is why.

If you truly believe calling that TO instantly was the right call you're wrong and you will be until you change your mind.

Yeah, I'm so worried about them covering. Frantic.

Mike Smith of the Falcons is getting roasted for calling a TO in the same situation as Tomlin but his was the 2nd half and did cost his team the game. I guess spindoc will still say it was a good TO.

They're not remotely the same. The fact that you equate the two situations confirms you know absolutely zero about the game. But you keep on watching.

I know that it was dumb not to run the clock down last week before the half. I know I'm right and you're wrong about that.

Saying keep betting against Tomlin then saying oh not worried about them covering made me laugh when I pointed out they're 1-12 against the spread on the road their last 13 as 6 point favorites or higher. Laugh out loud stuff.

Are you worried that they lose on the road to vastly inferior teams and it costs them playoff berths?
