Elder trailing 28-7 at the half. Wayne has scored on 4 of 6 possessions. Turned it over on downs in Elder territory the other 2 times.

Wayne is just dominating the line of scrimmage.

Elder down 42-7 in the 3rd quarter. Big boy football

I love listening to the dejected Elder broadcast staff.

This one surprises me - thought Wayne was a slight favorite but they are just crushing Elder. The Elder defense has really been exposed the last three weeks (35 against HHS, 56 against Lasalle and a bunch tonight)...

I have not watched the whole game but I did see a Wayne FRESHMAN catch about an 80 yard TD pass and he just blew by the Elder secondary. He looked like a college kid (over 6' and put together)...This kid could be scary in the future!!

Touchdown Panthers!!!!! Running clock stopped for now. 42-13 Wayne. 10 minutes left in game.

Not too surprised at this; I expected the Panthers to lose tonight.

Why? The Panthers were once ranked in the top 20 in the USA by Maxpreps?

The loss does not surprise me. The margin does.

Maxpreps has always been good on hype.

In Ohio, the running clock starts when on team is ahead by more than 30 and reverts to a regular clock when the difference goes below 30.

Under that rule, the running clock at Highlands vs Boyd County game last night would have stopped running when Boyd County scored to make it 36-7 and restarted running when Highlands made it 44-7. I think that that is weird, I like the way it works in KY better.

Wayne lost a huge rivalry game to Centerville last week, but they are the real deal. I picked them to win this region in or about week six. I'll stick with that, though it should be interesting.

Moeller, X, Wayne, and even Colerain are solid contenders. I don't know much about the Columbus schools, and I have trust issues with the Lakota schools winning at this level.
