Things sure turned around after that series where BB got sacked on three straight plays.
My oldest son said "after the late hit that literally jacked his jaw, he must have thought he was still playing the Colts". Witty lad.

Harrison is playing good football also!

Fact.

Both I think. Bell and Blount have become more and more effective each week. Bryant emerging has caused to teams to focus more on him instead of just doubling Brown every play. And then there's always Heath. To me, I think the o-line has been the biggest difference. There is still room for them to improve, but they have been better as of late.

All of these are true, but as much as Tomlin was harangued earlier this season, he flatly went to the OC and said we will not take our foot off the pedal again. The Tampa game was a huge learning lesson.

And they shouldn't. I don't care if you are up 50. That is my biggest pet peeve in sports, letting off the gas. In a league like the NFL, you simply can't do it, and the Steelers have been notorious in the past.

Back in the Bus years, you could literally take the air out of it and he was most often gonna secure the ball and move the chains and you could shorten the game. Well, this ain't that.

Brown is elite, no doubt. The growth of the other receivers and the O-line has been impressive. The defense is still not very good. Harrison had a great game last night, but I don't think it will continue. Teams will find him in the passing game, even on run downs. He just can't defend anymore. Remember, though, the NFL is week to week.

He's still an elite run stuffer. The defensive left is the issue. Seldom do you find running room to the defensive right because he sets the edge and it stays put. If I was an opposing OC, I'd try to get them in a formation tendency that would have him dropping in the flat to cover a back or TE. He can be exposed there. But I doubt, barring injury, JH play declines.

Ben has been impressive, but the way Bell has played is also one of the big reason this team is doing better. He has been so dangerous as a receiver and I think it has to do with his playing weight this year, which is 20 pounds lighter...
