Leave it alone GEEZ. NDA has two transfers on their current team. One from Conner and one from Villa and that's only the one's I know of for sure. When the KHSAA does put their foot down the private/independent schools will pay a much bigger price than public. I'm not familiar with VB & Soccer, but I bet that 2 or 3 of the schools listed above gain quite a few transfers for those sports as well and they will feel the pain of new rules. If you open your eyes to ALL sports ND has a young star golfer that left Beechwood to attend ND.

 

Success always seems to bring this same discussion. This Boone team replaced 3 senior starters (2 region all stars) with freshmen and if you think that ANY coach could have taken them to this same point you are seriously diluted.

Agree. It belongs under another topic. It can be hashed out exactly in the same manner as the 100 times before, by the same people as before, and will end up in the same place as before "No where".

Notre Dame has several transfers as well. The Delph girl from Conner, Jones and Coleman from Brossart, Jackson from Villa, and Smith from Beechwood.

Excellent point. This Boone team has come a tremendous distance from where it started the season. They truly have 2 freshman as go to players in Bradley and Brasseux (sp?).

Congrats lady rebels!!! 4th consecutive trip to the regional finals and has won 2 (should be 3 but lost on a buzzer beater last year)... Next year should be exciting as well!

One girl who doesn't get the "credit" she deserves is the lone senior in the starting lineup, Ashley Griffith. She shut down Lantry and always seems to hit big shots in games. She might not score a ton of points but the games I have watched she will drill a couple of three's to stop another team's run.

Congrats to both teams. As we all know, there will be teams at Diddle that are not even close to the talent level that both of these schools are. However, being in a region together, only one can go. 4 Northern KY schools were in the finals of 3 different regions last night. Brossart(10th), NDA/Boone(9th), and SK(8th). If this doesn't tell you anything about the progress this area has made in women's basketball, I don't know what does. Yes, we still struggle to bring home the bigger hardware, but heck, give the coaches up here some credit for taking this area to the next level. I was at the Scott Co/Lex Cath game, and last night's final was nowhere close to that level, but these coaches are getting us closer to being able to compete down there. Congrats to all NKY teams and coaches this year for representing the area! Good luck to the Rebels next TH night! All of this, of course, IMO... :-)

 

 

I agree with you that in this area womens basketball is much better than in years past overall. Just between SK and Boone there are 5 girls who played on the same aau team and between SK and ND there are another 5 girls who played on another aau team, both of who were the last 2 years state champions and who are all 9th graders! The high school coaches deserve some credit but the girls deserve the most credit for dedicating themselves to this great sport!! Just between these 3 schools I know 16 girls who play aau there maybe more but the freshmen group are awesome and will continue to bring the level higher the next 3 years!! IMO

Coach K That sounds a bit xtreme to me. What makes you think the AAU players are the Premier players in High School? I am sure IN DA Zone will agree with you though. Nice to hear from you.
