Grew up in South end. Would normally be happy for SK success though people like UKfan make it hard.

You have to excuse him. For those of unfamiliar, SK was always that team losing 40 and 50 to 0 to CCH and HHS and even Boone back in the day. Year after year. One runner up trophy just can't erase all that inferiority complex.

Thier more recent success is not part of a program. It just the natural result of the population explosion out around Independence.

They are still upset cause people like Stringer(Beechwood) came up through the program and on the last day possible walk in and tell the coaches they are going to Beechwood. This would not happen if everyone thought SK was a dynasty in the making.

SK is growing into a solid program, get over your past and be happy for these young men, the coaches, school, and community. SK playing Scott is a good idea another program growing as well as playing CovCath. The Colonels will be a solid test every year W or L a good learning tool game for SK, and for CovCath if they beat SK it might help the sting go away from always getting destroyed by Highlands. SK is not on HHS level by any means but could compete some years. I believe they would have kept it a lot closer than CovCath this season. Next year who knows, might lose by 50 but that's ok. If you want to be the best have to atleast play the best. HHS is what every team in NKY wants to be, loaded almost every year. The Pioneers respect that and look forward to all challengers the rest of this season and next season. Don't let one guy (who fires you all up on purpose and laughs about it) make you not wish nothing for the best for the young men of SK as all of us in Independence wish your schools all the best every week other than when you play the Pioneers.

We have a report post feature. It's the black triangle with the exclamation point in the left corner of each post.

If you see a post that you think violates the rules, please report it and we will review it.

Also---do not allow someone else's remarks that you perceive as annoying cause you to commit a Rule 2 violation.

I'm not upset over Stringer leaving SK. He went to Beechwood for whatever reason. If he was at SK he wouldn't be the starting running back.

It's a shame the teams who played this game have been ignored in this thread.

No information on the game, who made plays, how did the game play out, etc.

I couldn't tell you I wasn't at the game I had to work.

I'm glad that both teams played the JV game. Usually teams aren't willing to play this game after the regular season finale. I think it's great that both HC's decided to reward the JV squad like this. Hat's off to both Marksberry and Wirth!
