Elite 8: Scott / Trinity predictions

Featured Replies

Trinity 6- Highlands 0/ Scott 2-Highlands 2

Trinity 3- KCD 0/ Scott 2- KCD 1

Trinity 1 CCH 0/ Scott 0- CCH 1

Trinty 5 goals allowed vs. KHSAA opp. / Scott 25 goals against KHSAA opp.

All teams have to play weak district/regional foes, usually numbers don't lie. History is usually the best predictor of future performance.

B0B0......sorry for your extra work. It is an agreed upon theory in NKY that if you have stats against CCH, no other stats are needed.......unless you play Der Deutchland.

To be honest though......the Trinity score against CCH was an own header goal......so cch scored 1-0 against both Scott and Trinity....

Wow, I didn't pay attention to the Trinity v Highlands and KCD games... I didn't think Trinity was anything really special when I saw them play Cov Cath and St. Henry. They were definitely good, and they were great games. But Trinity wasn't the "super team" that I had seen over the years.

Just to be fair...

Scott vs Highlands : Scott's 1st game, although dominated this game with 26 shots and highlands having 4 Scott was going through normal first game jitters.

Scott vs KCD : Scott had a tough game early in the same day where they beat Ballard 3 to 1 and then having to play KCD the same day without a key player Luke Treadway.

Scott vs CCH : This was a fun one to watch, very competitive game where I believe the score could have gone either way,I would think CCH supporters would feel the same way. I do believe Scott has several chances hit the frame, not to take away from CCH, It was a hard fought game and deservedly won by the colonials. Also I'd like to add that from everything I have heard the CCH vs Trinity game was a complete toss up resulting in a hard fought match with trinity winning 1 to 0 off a CCH own goal.

Highlands was 2nd game of season for trinity, CCH was 6th game... kinda like the old story about if my aunt had.... There's a reason the game is played and it will all come out in the wash on saturday. Good luck to both teams

This game may just be worth the drive to see. Two very proud programs squaring off for alpha dog status. I'll start the over/under odds with 6 yellow cards for the game.

Over 6!

According to KHSAA, only $10 to see all 4 games Saturday...a real bargain compared to Tuesday eve!

Just 6? Come on buddy

So Tuesday's admission should have been 2.50....10 / 4...right?

Sarcasm....I know the pricing model

Kind of fun to be in the position of the team with the "common opponent" information......would rather be one of the other paticipants, but here is my two cents......probably roll into 4 cents.

Don't think you can compare these two......both were very different games.....

Trinity was a finesse, passing, attack not only from both sides, but also the best team we saw all year with attacking with the outside defenders.......can be very overwhelming if your defense isnt disciplined.

With Trinity's attacking defenders....IMO...it opens them up to counter attacks, and this is plays right into Scott's offensive strengths. Morgan in the middle has perfected the skill to play it to Schneider and Treadway in exact positions that they pressure and attack, and then Morgan joins the attack. Top to bottom, Scott's offense puts more pressure on defenders due to quick counters, quick shots, and physicality than CCH's does. CCH plays an offense similar to Trinity's.....

Will be an exciting game........Refs hopefully won't play a part in the decision, but how it will be called will be a big factor in which team has the advantage.......

Just checking what if no one scores in regulation, overtime or pks will the winner be determined by the team who receives the most cards, has the most outrageous over the top crazy un informed soccer parents, or to steal a quote from the Campbell County state game (the team with the loudest most obnoxious drunk guy, or the teams AD that offers to pay for half of the price of the other teams ticket cost.

Im just asking!!!!

I am confident that they will determine it in PK's if it comes to this... these other options that you offer could be an alternative that KHSAA might want to consider... many people hate it when the matches are decided by PK's.

Position?... my position is my couch, with a laptop and the KHSAA website, it's all there. After some comments I decided to look for empirical data. It all boils down to game day though.

What was this drunk guy hollering at the other night?
