Curious case brewing here.

 

Despite being 0-8 Somerset, suddenly is a team to watch.

 

Two weeks ago they took #6 Danville to the wire before losing 21-19 on the road.

 

Last week sensation Soph RB Jordan Doan became eligible. Doan was on pace for a 1000 yard year at Southwestern and was instrumental in Southwestern beating Somerset in the opener. As a Freshman Doan was Somerset's leading rusher before leading the team. This will be Doan's first game with a full week of practice under his belt.

 

Somerset is only 5 points away from leading their district right now. The opposite District certainly is not Murderer's Row as well and the NKY Region seems to be substantially down.

 

Could it be possible Somerset goes from 0-8 to playing for a State Title?

Yep. Played last week in limited action.

I get what your saying though...this team could win a few playoff games...I don't think they have enough consistency to go far unfortunately.

 

Somerset has had the lead in 3 or 4 games this season only to lose the game in the second half...so they could win some.

 

Somerset should be 2-0 in district play but are 0-2. Team just seems snake bit.

7 carries for about 10 yards. Had a couple decent little runs then lost yards on a couple also.

He was cleared to play on Wed or Thursday last week.

It was a pretty bad situation...KSHAA made the right decision under the circumstances for the kid.

 

If Somerset was 8-0 I don't think he would have been allowed to play. That's just my opinion, I have nothing to base it on.

He cleared waivers, Pulaski Co didnt want him so he was a free agent pickup by Somerset.

1) Dad got mad last year and forced him to transfer, finally decided on Southwestern.

2) Dad was arrested a few weeks ago for some pretty heinous crimes and is being investigated for some even worse.

3) Son had to relocate from home since dad was in jail and transferred back to Somerset where he never wanted to leave in the first place.

4) 3 or 4 weeks later KHSAA ruled him eligible to play with 3 weeks (2games) left in the season

 

*I don't know if dad is guilty or not as he has just been charged at this point.

I heard Pulaski Super was the hold up, that he could have been eligible much sooner.

 

I also heard that PC Coach Hines went to bat for him with Super to get super to not oppose eligibility...can't verify that however.

1. I know dad, had to deal with dad before, dad is umm a fun guy to deal with, thats as far as I will go

3. Surprised son knows what address to send to college recruits to get his mail from them

4. KHSAA had to call in the moving trucks to get all the files back from storage on Doan. I told Jullian not to move them, he would need them again, guess they were out of room in the office.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ok im done now, just having a little fun, I will await the nasty grahams from the Somerset, Southwestern, Pulaski peeps, havent had as many of them this year as usual yet.
