Apollo gets to the Sweet 16 finals, BUT PAINTSVILLE beat them in the Tiger Hoops Classic this year by 7 points!! Just goes to show that depending on the draw and so forth, any team could win the Sweet 16! Also, JCHS loses at Rupp to the State Champs!! These two observations make the 15th Region look pretty good to me!!

Another Bad Year for the Mountains.

A bad year for the whole state. I was not impressed with any team in the tourney. This can't be the best the state has to offer.

I know it is easy to lump all the mountain schools together, but some do travel outside their area to play teams. Paintsville has been not just all over the state but literally all over the nation. In the past 10 years Paintsville has been to Las Vegas, Florida, Delaware, South Carolina, Georgia, St. Louis, ect...Also, the Paintsville Hoops Classic brings in teams from all over the nation and state to play and PHS has played in the 5/3 a couple of times in this span.

Not trying to knit-pick, but you made a math error in calculating the W/L record for the 15th region. If you readd the wins and the losses for the 15th region , it actually comes out to an 11-9 record.
