Thought the E'Town/John Hardin game was the best of the night...... but, this may have them beat

Not knowing any details about the E'Town / JH game, you would be hard pressed to find a better game than this one. I don't think either team ever had a lead of more than 3 points. This one went back and forth all night.

I thought the 4th region refs were horrible both tonight and during the Apollo / Meade game. Not that it gave anyone an advantage but you about had to kill someone for it to be a foul. At the start of the 3rd OT in what was a very close physical game total team fouls for the second half was Ohio Co. 7 to Apollo's 6. Neither team made the bonus the first half either.

Tyler Brown and Doug Denton had huge games for Apollo. Jordan James played great for Ohio, and I think the key for Apollo was when he fouled out in the 3rd OT, (for some reason the refs started calling fouls by the 3rd OT) Ohio really missed him on the defensive end. Denton had a hard time beating him off the dribble all night.

Congratulation to Coach Tony Hopper on returning the Eagles to the Sweet Sixteen in only his second year at the helm.

This will be Apollo's 8th trip to the Sweet Sixteen in just under 35 years of being in existance. Not too shabby. :thumb:

3 OT's and a final of 50 - 49? It was either a defensive masterpiece, or there was some miserable shooting percentages going on.

Nothing new. I'm happy every year when regional tournament time comes around because they're going somewhere other than here. Sounds like you were the unlucky recepients this time.
