BGP parents, how would you feel if this was happening at your school?

If misrepresenting my comments and taking them out of the context from which I stated them was your goal, you have succeeded.

Reiterating the context in which I've stated them time and again to convince you that you're misunderstanding them is proving to be futile.

Your responses time and again convince me that you have misunderstood my comments time and again.

The annoyance of our game of point/counterpoint has not stemmed from opposing opinions as much as your obvious misunderstanding and misrepresenting the context in which I have stated my points, and then me repetitively expressing that you are obviously misunderstanding what I'm saying by your action of again and again taking my points out of context.

I don't mind making points, and I don't mind hearing opposing views, but reiterating myself over and again for the sake of restating the same points that continue to be met by misrepresentation does not make for an interesting fair discussion.

I will make a mental note of this for future reference, and will do my best to avoid discourse with you for I am now well aware of the inevitable rabbit hole that I will go down by doing so.

Nah, hoss, no one usually disagrees with you because of the literary dirge they get in reply. I simply disagreed, you didn't like it. It is what it is. No chance I want any part of discourse, or rabbit holes.

As long as it's within the confines of marriage. Outside of that, get ready for the guilt.

Good thing you don't have to worry about that :)

Well, I was raised Catholic, so it doesn't just fade away …

Don't really get the whole gender identity thing. This isn't a gender identity crisis; it is a matter of personal preference. I don't care if the kid wants to wear dresses, play with dolls, be a ballerina, or have a boyfriend. The fact remains that this child is a boy. That is its identity. Male. A male with stereotypically female interests perhaps, but still a male. Social conditioning only tells us that the boy's alleged preferences are more in-line with what we perceive as girly. Let that be his identity, not some false persona of a different sex. This world gets crazier by the minute...
