AGullett08 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Holmes started the season 1-5 so far.. What do you think? Will they win another game this season? If so, against who? Upcoming Games: 10/10 - @ Harrison County 10/17 - vs. Highlands 10/24 - vs. Cov. Cath 10/31 - vs. Newport (Senior Night)
THUNDERBIRDS Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 My guess is they will beat Harrison County. Maybe or maybe not. Harrison has 2 quality receivers. Not sure who Harrison County has played thus far this season but those 2 receivers caused Highlands havoc at times this past Friday night. Really nice players.....

Cath 10/31 - vs. Newport (Senior Night) Newport is their best chance (but it won't happen), although I don't know anything about Harrison Co. The HHS game, who will even pay to watch that game unless your kid is playing? That's the real question.
BigRed32 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Newport is not a winnable game... Scratch that idea.
Walter Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Harrison Co is their best chance. Having seen both Newport and Holmes, I'd give the nod to Newport by a couple td's. Holmes has some talent and I really like Brumfield at qb (throws a really nice deep ball) but they will have to play one of their better games to beat either Newport or HC. Against Bellevue they had atleast two receivers drop WIDE OPEN passes with nobody around them that would have gone for td's and likely changed the outcome of the game.
Hellbird Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Two winnable games on the schedule. Highlands and Cov Cath right?
NKY Bandit Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Highlands and Cov Cath right? Shhh. You'll wake up the fort Thomas and Cov Cath folks. :wideyed:
Hellbird Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Shhh. You'll wake up the fort Thomas and Cov Cath folks. :wideyed: I think all the CCH faithful are still in an induced coma from Sat.

If it happens, I hope the fire dept at least waters down the roof and building of Notre Dame, would hate to see the entire block go up in flames.
Drunk Johnny Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 The will beat Harrison County, and the Newport game should be close. Highlands and Cov. Cath. not so much.
Walter Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Some don't realize how young Holmes is this year...Holmes lists around 50 kids on their roster (9th-12th) but only 8 of those players are seniors. They should be improved next year as I think the junior class has some really nice talent and if some of the basketball kids come out that I'm hearing, that should definitely give them more options on both sides of the ball.
