AAU Power Rankings: NKY Lady Legends D2 #1

Featured Replies

Kentucky Royals 6th was preseason ranked Number 2 in Division 1, based on their national runner up finish the year before. For what it is worth, AAU national office said the national rankings COULD change based upon performance during the season, but generally they don't. After destroying 3 of the top 6 teams in the country in December, the Royals were told verbally they would move up to Number 1, but that change was never reflected on the AAU national rankings..

With respect to the nationals in Mason, are you referring to the 10th grade nationals where Legacy's 8th grade team was the runner-up?

Yes. And your point?

I thought I had heard that Royals team disbanded in January last year? Can some one confirm that this Nationally ranked Royals team disbanded or folded last year? If they did, why?

The current Royals team playing out at SOAS does not look like a Nationally ranked team?

A few players wanted to move in a different direction and waited so long to tell Macke she had no time to adjust. So ahe picked up some players to keep

Playing. Just a difference in opinion and styles wanted but should have told her sooner. So went to the Angels and a couple to the shining stars. So they still are a team but minus 4-5 players from the #2 team
