Green County 20 LaRue County 13

Both teams are young/inexperienced but have a ton of heart and fight. This was a dog fight and I bet a fun one from the stands and hear on the radio. LaRue will be REALLY good over the next 2 years...Green is rebuilding with a solid Junior/Soph group but lacks experience where it matters but have a dandy middle school group coming up. LaRue is young and Green is on running back number 3 (couple of season ending injuries in the backfield) for the season with a Soph. taking the work load. I would wager these teams would have split if you played it 10 times.

^^Agreed on everything you said.

I know Larue was starting 5 freshmen and 3 sophomores on defense.

They are just so, so young. Next year should see some big improvement, based on the returning starters and a district they should be very competitive in. But don't quit on this season - Larue is already much more competitive this year than last. :thumb:

LaRue looked much better than last week. Green had a rough first half, but turned it on in the second half.

Glad I got to see Coach Engstrand again. It had been several years since we saw each other.
