Where do you consider the best place to watch a HS match?

Really really like Dixie's facilities. Felt like we were so close to the game and with a Birdseye view, too.

Plus a great concession stand area and large selection of food.

I just wish they would make the soccer out of bounds line a brighter color. The blue shade they have blends in with the dark green turf.

I completely forgot about SK. Very nice field and stands.........

Probably one retaining fence on the far side away from being great......still not sure why they didn't put one up and let the balls go downt he hill.

Between SK, Scott and Dixie ....kenton county taxes being put to good use.

After my trip to SK last night, I am going to knock them down a couple notches in my rankings. They appear to have someone in training when the announcer steps down at Ryle, he was doing the JV match at SK last night.

I do not want this to come across as bashing but we do not need a play-by-play account of the match that is happening right in front of us. At one point I thought the AR was going to actually put a stop to the commentary when the announcer actually commented... "That was a hard call for the ref to make". To his credit, the AR just shook his head and laughed about it.

I will also say that OTB84 is right about needing a retaining fence on the far side, there were several balls that went over the hill in the first half last night... enough of them that the ball boys did not come back for the second half... I guess they were worn out by the multiple trips up and down the hill. :)

I agree with the comments about SK.

Took away from what was actually a very nice game.

I remember the exact play you are talking about too. It was an out of bounds call for crying out loud.

NCC is an old landfill they put some money into. The positive is it is only for their use and no club/select games can be played on it. Should be a nice grass field since they have a practice field next to it. Give it time. I struggle with Tower Park. Love the setup but they tried to maximize the field width putting it right on top of the track. Love the width but with the concrete track it makes it difficult for kids to stop full speed causing them to wipe out. Ryle's field is technically illegal. Look at the goal post. Have to be 12 inches out from the field goal post, practically on top of it. Huge fan of Campbell's new set up.

I've heard the announcers at Ryle and SK. Scott does the same thing. Gets a little annoying. As if they're being way to serious or trying to insert jokes into the mix. Although frustrating they are volunteering for their school's program to announce the line ups, etc. The tough part is how do you say something politely while not trying to insult them.

You scream from the stands to remind the PA that they aren't doing the games on radio.....

Got it... I love the subtlety!!!

all of the city schools in Fayette County have nice large sized turf fields all redone within the last 6-7 years (although they are not soccer specific) :( the stands are elevated so you can see the fields really well. LexCath has a nice turf field as well, but it is also multipurpose. LCA has a soccer specific field with a nice set of stands, if I remember correctly it is a natural surface.

Any of these are pretty nice to take in a game & the food offered @ each is pretty good.

Lex Cath has the blue turf, but there are so many lines and fields that it is too confusing........softball on one side, baseball right field at the 20 yard line, lacrosse, football, soccer........they are one enormous chess board away from covering it all.

......with that said.....a pretty good use of minimal space.

Since we have ventured out of NKY, I am going to throw Georgetown College into the mix. I am not sure how many matches Scott Co plays there each season so this might not really qualify as a HS venue, but I do know that they hold the Cardinal Cup there.

Brossart and Cooper will be participating in it this year.
