The majority of the starting defense was still in on that drive. There were 7-9 starters still playing. So most of the starters were in but the entire starting defense was not on the field for one play on the drive.

Yes. As I posted in the Conner / Walnut Hills scrimmage thread, Conner's offense was better with Padgett. He had a couple good runs and a long pass completion in their scoring drive.

I'm really excited about my tigers this year, but want to try and hold my enthusiasm until they play CCH who I think will be really good.

If they can keep the CCH game close then this could be their year.

Beechwood will need to play better than they did last Friday if they want to have a chance at beating Covington Catholic.

I don't think they can beat CCH this year, but I want to see if they can hang with them which will be very telling

I may be a little late with this but I agree with all that was said here. Beechwood looked good on Friday night against Connor.

 

Their QB looked real good. Does not appear to be afraid of running if there is no one open. Also, saw him throw a few nice passes. The one over the middle to #84 (I think his last name was Bright), was beautiful. If 84 can be that open over the middle, he is going to score some TD's because after the catch, he was moving and he isn't a small fella.

 

The running backs of Studer, Stringer, and Stokes looked very quick. Stringer and Studer look like they are being shot out of a cannon. When stokes ran a dive up the middle, I think I heard thunder.

 

O line was making nice holes too. #74 (Etler) looked very good. I am not sure how big he is; however, his dad is a giant. If this kid is as big as his daddy, I would think he could play somewhere next year if that is his wish.
