DeSales 31 Meade County 7 Scrimmage

Featured Replies

Here is the point that I made:

2A DeSales with kids from all over Louisville and probably some bordering counties SHOULD be able to compete with and/or beat with a 6A school (Meade County) with kids from Meade County. That was my only point. IMO, classification does not matter when you are talking about private or small public schools like Beechwood with open enrollment. That is all.

This was my original point also. It is no surprise that DeSales can compete with a lot of larger schools like a Meade County.

Now, that I can agree with.

I think enrollment is just a way to classify, the real difference is does a team platoon or do they not platoon. You take a 1A team that has enough quality players to field 22 positions and they will beat a 6A team that plays players both ways, no matter what the enrollment of each school is.
