I later discovered that country music is very popular in Ireland and that it was heavily influenced by American country music, which is very popular in Ireland. September 14, 201412 yr Same with me. I've always listened to it. Something about the voices... There are some stations in the area that play it occasionally. I guess WNKU still has their weekly show with Katie Laur? Also, there used to be some random station over in New Richmond that would play Bluegrass and old-timey country on Sundays if I'm not mistaken.
