Seems like he stepped in a couple times last year to get things moving forward. Can't remember what they were, just remember reading that it would be used against him during the primaries. Maybe the budget or the shutdown?

He did once or twice, and was excoriated by much of the extreme right for doing so. Fiscal cliff or some such issue.
