Congratulations to Mr. Henderson.

I know we have lots of 12th Region fans on here and know that a number of people were debating whether or not he was underrated.

Sorry for the tardiness in reporting this, I'm actually going through my inbox and received this news awhile back that I didn't get to report while I was in graduation mode. The news I've gotten does appear to be confirmed though, as both the Jessamine Journal and AllKYHoops have reported the news as well.

Definitely confirmed. I honestly don't know much about him. What can you tell me? Thanks!

Hustle and full of heart.

Played AAU with Charlotte Court out of Lexington IIRC.

One person described him to me as a high character kid who he'd liken to the "Jarrod Polson of MSU" (I'm sure that each being a West Jessamine alum had something to do with that).

Very solid point guard for his career at West Jessamine. Got the job done night in and night out. Underrated defender. I believe he was a 3 year starter for West Jessamine as I recall seeing him getting a lot of varsity clock during his sophomore year. Knew his role on the team and was a huge contributor to the success that West Jessamine has had over the last 3 years. Never seemed to play out of control and capable of scoring big numbers when needed.

Good luck to Will Henderson at Morehead State!!! Hopefully he will earn a basketball scholarship while at Morehead State if he already isn't getting his college paid for.

He used to play with the NKY TarHeels with Hatton back in the day when he lived in NKY. They had some great teams.

Best of luck to Will at MSU.

Congratulations, Will. I know your mom and dad are proud!

Will is a great teammate, and a really tough, hard-nosed kid, and gets it done in the classroom too. Shining example of extra effort, went to school early to lift weights with the football kids, at aau practice always came early or stayed late to do individual workout. Fights to the end. Perfect point guard personality. He’ll have his moments at MSU for sure, don’t be surprised when he finishes on scholly. It’s about the size of the fight in the dog.

On a side note, this makes at least 7 kids off that Charlotte Court group that now have college gigs, with a couple more still in the works. Maybe not the high profile some of the sponsored teams have, but a bunch that stuck together, loved and supported each other for years. Great to see the success they’ve all earned.

Congrats to Will, mom, dad and both sisters!
