Great picks! Totally agree. Ludlow really has made progress. And if I'm correct, Cooper lost a lot of seniors and has a new coaching staff. So maybe a better year for them than most expected.

Im not sure I agree with cooper.Yes, they lost sseniors but they have one of the best pitchers in the area. Is it because they beat cov cath and dixie? When Dunn is on the mound they have a chance to beat anyone. Ithink Conner is more of a suprise than cooper. If i'm mistaken cooper were picked pre season top 10.

Conner is having a great year! No doubt. Biggest turn around season is probably Ludlow I guess though.

I will give you Cooper. I'm not saying that Ludlow and Bellevue aren't teams on the way up and aren't more competitive but I believe most of their success is related to their respective schedules. The teams that I believe are surprises, would be Conner & Boone County. I don't remember either being picked as a preseason top 5 team in NKY and I believe both could make a very strong case that they are.

I could see your point except for the fact that Ludlow had an easier schedule last season and only won 5 games... This season, with a slightly tougher schedule, they won 14. Bellevue, I'm not sure how last year's schedule compares to this year though.

I did forget about Conner Rocky, great call. I think Cooper was way over ranked to start the season. They did lose quite a few and that's why I had them on my list.

I couldn't find the Pre season top 10 thread but I thought Cooper was near the bottom like #9

They were higher than that I thought. At one time they were 5 or 6 in front of boone and conner.

Conner would be my biggest surprise. Ludlow, Bellevue, Boone and Cooper have also been a surprise also. I had originally thought the 33rd would have been down this year. Guess that's what I get for thinking, because looking at it now, I would say it's the toughest district 1 thru 4.

I would think you can count on the 3rd being the deepest pretty much every year. All four are either 5 A or 6 A schools, right? I'm pretty sure all of the other local districts have at least 1 1A and 1 2 A school.

OB i disagree with you saying the success from Ludlow and Bellevue is related to their respective schedules. Bellevue doesnt dodge anyone and if you look at their schedule it proves my point. I see big schools on Ludlows schedule as well. Both of them have competed with much larger schools and will continue to do so. They are required to play their conference opponents at least once.

My biggest surprise would be Boone Co. Coach Huff and his staff have done an incredible job this year.
