CCH pitcher pitched great also. Don't know how many hits Cooper had, maybe 5. CCH had 3 hits.

Collin Hathorn crushed a HR over the Center field wall in the 1st inning. Collin's 2nd at bat he crushed another one that hit off the fence in left center for a double.

Brown threw for CCH...Don't know the other young man's name. Jags were anxious at the plate and that played well for Brown. 3,4,5 for Cooper was 3 for 9 which has not been a norm, but it happens. Great game against a great team!

Congrats to Dunn and the Jags. 7 innings, 9Ks and 3 hits is some work against, I thought I saw top 20 team! I did hear that the ball the Hawthorn kid hit was at least 400ft.. WOW!

Dunn pitched well. By far, the best defensive game Cooper has played all year.

That home run cleared the center field fence by like 20 feet at least. It was a monster shot.

 

Cov Cath has a really solid team with a lot of very good players. The super soph Heppler may have one of the prettiest swings around. He will be fun to watch the next couple years. I think CCH's only concern with him is to find a place in the field for him. Schreiver made a great catch on a ball that was hit to the gap in right center, made a diving catch that saved 2 runs with runners on 2nd and 3rd. He's always fun to watch.

 

Fun game, and what made it even better was getting Coach Collins a win against his old team, I know that meant a lot to him and his dad. Very special day for a great coach and his family.

I'd have to say that the blue Colonels probably played mostly JV guys and rested their usual 9.

Looking at the below posts I don't think you are correct. Brown is a regular pitcher for CCH. Schreiver and Heppler are everyday players. Without a box score I can't tell you if they were the only 2 regulars to play but CCH definitely didn't rest their starters.
