Bo Schuh Gets Slammed

Featured Replies

I should also ask the following.

Have you ever been punched in a sporting event? Have you ever been slammed down like Bo was ?

To be honest, I would imagine the player getting taken down would expect some type of retaliation from opposing players by playing that way. From both videos, it looks like he is trying to get the reaction he got in the first video.

I'm going to go the Bo way of retaliation. Get up and box out hard again like I'm sure he did.

Tough kid..

I know my response wasnt very popular with some and I am one to typically say "take the high road" but in that case it could have hurt Bo seriously. You get slammed like that on your back/head you can hurt your spine, neck, etc. If he took a punch then I would say smile and point at the scoreboard or something like that. Just my opinion.

Try to block it or dodge and trust that there are some responsible people in the area who will force a separation. Then continue playing while your opponent is ejected.

You are a bette man than I.....

As for AAU refs making calls, was at a tournament a couple of years back and their was a kid literally punching a kid in the back as he was trying to gain offensive position. I'm not talking about a shove, but a clenched fist punch, and he did it about 4 times, when the kid being punched finally truned and shoved the player who was doing the punching, he was ejected.....it was an absolute joke. The bad thing is that the ref on the baseline was within 5' of where the action was taking place and did nothing. They are to concerned with getting the games over and staying on schedule IMO.

Agree totally... The obvious fouls are not called and in the end someone is going to get hurt. Or like you said a player gets tossed because he is tired of being punched on.
