April 3, 201412 yr That's not what he said though. He basically said he'd make her have the C-section. I get that. I am just saying how I would approach the situation. I can't make my wife do anything she doesn't want to do. Trust me.....:lol2: Doesn't mean I won't ask her. :lol2:
April 3, 201412 yr I'm not sure a doctor is going to perform an unnecessary surgery just so the husband can be at work and I definitely would not undergo a C-section if it's not necessary. I'm not sure either so that makes a difference also.
April 3, 201412 yr Insist? No. Ask? Yes. I would aim for the Friday or Saturday so I'd be off on the weekend and be able to be there as much as possible before returning to work on Monday. I just don't see the harm in asking. If she says no she says no and I miss work. Pretty simple process. I don't see why you would potentially put someone at risk so you can get back to work on time.

I can't imagine anyone would want to undergo one. Also, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't having a C-section make future pregnancies more risky for the mother? With this being their first child, I'd imagine they'd want to avoid that at all costs if possible.

All pregnancies are risky regardless of the circumstances and can't labor be induced without it having to be a C-section. My wife's only child was delivered C-section. I'm not sure she can have one naturally. Neither one of us can have kids any longer so child delivery has never been discussed in our household.

April 3, 201412 yr Typically paternity leave is paid.... Sure. Disability. 400 bucks a week. With deductions taken out. We get paid every two weeks so that would be 800 bucks with deductions and it ends up being 603 bucks for 2 weeks.(my wife is currently on disability) Without divulging too much of my financials on here....603 bucks for 2 weeks isn't going to get the bills paid in our house.
