Steve Collins out at George Rogers Clark

Saw this on Twitter this morning. Things have been rough here, but I wish they could have given him one more season.

Wow, he didn't last long.....one more year would have been nice. Any front runners?

I agree. I hope to goodness he wasn't forced out.

For the second time in three years, George Rogers Clark High School is looking for a football coach. Steve Collins was fired Thursday after two seasons at the helm. Collins went 3-19 in his two seasons with the team. Jaime Keene, athletics director at Clark, confirmed Collins' dismissal Thursday night. Keene and George Rogers Clark principal David Bolen met with Collins Thursday afternoon.

I have never been a fan of a high school turning over a head coach that fast, in any sport. In most cases as a coach in high school athletics, you have to deal with the hand dealt to you. As long as there are improvements in the slightest bit, I think a coach should be able to retain his job.

Has there been any names mentioned as a replacement and what type of talent does Clark have coming back?
