You sure about NCC being #1 in state in 01 . I know that was a good team and front runner in 9th that year but I don't recall them being #1.

 

Ballard and Male were the top two teams in the state that season. Male finished #14 and Ballard #16 in the USA Today top 25.

I believe Ballard was #3 in the country before they lost to Male in the regional championship game.

It was '00, whatever, one of those Ronnie Dawn years. They won the region in '00 and lost to Male in the first round (who they had beaten previously.) Either way, rankings mean nothing. Trinity and Ballard can't both make the tournament. NewCath has to beat 2 Top 10 teams to make it out of the region. Who knows what will happen.

I think the love for the 12th has officially gotten a little crazy at this point.
