What year did Rex win Coach of the Year in Basketball....Maybe when that guy named "Jeff Hall" was there.....Jeff could get me the coach of the year award.....

Gee I just hope the Eagles have a chance.After all Boyd has the "hands down" POY;the game is at Boyd and according to you the Fairview coach is a "joke".I imagine most FHS fans will be happy to just finish within 30-40 points.

 

What? 2 or 3 of us on here giving our opinion and you act like everyone is counting Fairview out? Even we are not counting Fairview out, to be honest, even though I bleed Red, I predicted Fairview to win earlier in another Forum. Every BC poster on here has stated many of times that if Boyd doesnt play as a Team that we are done. But the rest of you guys sure wont give credit where credit is due....

And Owens is "hands down" the POY, irregardless what happens tomorrow night.

They have 4 players avg. double figures(Can any other team boast such balance) which says a lot about the coaching philosophy.

 

It has nothing to do with Coaching Philosophy, it has a lot to do with Players that are willing to do that...Every coach wants their players do all be in double digits, just not all teams have those type of players....nothing to do with coaching.

Rex Cooksey 1990 ADI Coach of The Year. He had a guard named Mike Helton who turned in one of the greatest regional tournament performances ever. Ironically, the Eagles lost to Boyd County in the regional finals that year.

COACHING is more than building your team around a few great players. That is all Cooksey has done over the few years that he has won a few games. He has had some great players that could or should have won regional tournies. How about Glen Reliford, Tom Hobbs, Mike Helton. They were all good players I like him as a person, just IMO not a very good instructional leader. Yeah you are right about one thing..POY. OWENS. I see why you are an armchair coach.... :fire: IMO Tim Fraley is probably the best motivator as far as coaching goes in the region.
