Memorial Gym was rocking tonight. Hazard jumped out to double lead but Perry clawed back to take the lead in the 3rd quarter, and from that time on it was a back and forth game until then end.

 

Justin Johnson led Perry with 21.

Chris Hudson led Hazard with 13 points.

 

Perry 12-22 from foul line.

 

Radio said the two teams had played 4 times this season and were 2-2 against one another. May end up playing the tiebreaker in the regional finals.

Big Al is a tough out in tournament basketball.

He has to rank right at the top in the state's great coaches. He's a good tournament coach for sure, and for that reason his Bulldog teams always have a high chance of winning the region. It was the same way when he coached at Perry Central.

I don't think so. I didn't start listening to the game until late in the 2nd quarter, but he was playing for the most part from when I tuned in. I talked to a friend who was at the game and he said that Hazard just did a good job on him defensively.
