Oldbird
Neither of these are in Times Square or the Financial District, but I would recommend: Balthazaar (for breakfast or anytime - it will be crowded) - Located in SoHo Balthazar Restaurant :: Home Mario Batali's Otto - Located in Greenwich Village (close to Washington Park - significant porition of I am legend was filmed in park ) Also if you go to Otto it is worth walking a few blocks to the NYU campus to find the Brown Building - the site of the Triangle Shirt Waist Fire. Only do this if you are a history buff - there isn't a lot to seee, but I found it interesting to read the historical markers and see the site I had heard about. JDEaston
I don't think I have ever had anything I didn't like in NYC. You can pretty much walk in any restaurant and get a good meal. I do make it a point to stop by Jack Dempseys while I'm there though. It's a great place to catch a UK game.
All Tell
Spring Break report from last week. Great trip. Visited the Statue of Liberty and the 9-11 Memorial. Both very neat. Ate at a place on the harbor called Gigino. Excellent. Saw Les Mis on Wednesday AND Phantom on Thursday. Ate at John's Pizzeria after LesMis. Incredible. Ate at Guy's American (Guy Fieri's new place in Times Square). Awesome. Great trip and already planning for next year. Hellbird
Find a pizza place... The best Pizza places are not at Times Square, but go to Little Italy. OMG I'm wanting to hop a flight now to NY to get a slice
