My apologies, I forgot the proverbial what are your thoughts? Or what do you feel are the Colonels strengths and weaknesses going into August are ?

 

No problem. These threads are generally started by the moderators. Others are usually closed down pretty quickly.

I'm a big Drew Moore fan but for him to get to the next level and be 'elite' in NKY, he has to develop a passing game. I don't necessarily think it's all receivers. Hope that Drew has a great spring and summer and comes back in the fall with more confidence in the passing game.

 

The few games I watched last year, there was just no separation. The good teams were able to man-up on the outside (CovCath, Campbell, SK) and allow their linebackers to run freely to stop the run. They really could've used a Goose Cohorn, Bobby Leondard, etc on the outside last year. It'll be interesting to see if anyone steps up this year on the outside. They really need to find someone to fill Washington's shoes. He and Caple made an excellent backfield, along with Owens who should become the 2014 version of Caple. Owens just needs to work on his ball security. Dixie will have a good core group of kids to build around, and Brossart seems to have all the kids buying in, which is good.

This year we are allowing anyone to start a Team Thread. We will still be starting them as well, but if anyone wishes to start them, we will allow them to remain open.

Dixie's D should be outstanding this season. Last season Dixie allowed the fewest points in 6A in the state ONLY behind Meade County, and the Colonels have 9 returners on D.

I am glad you referred to him as SK1fan rather than his actual moniker of UK1fan who by the way has a WKU helmet as an avatar. He very rarely posts on a UK football thread and when he has recently he was talking down about a certain young QB from NKY. Hardly a good representation of a No. 1 fan of UK.
