I have a question. If McDavid and Thoms and Van Hoose and Blair balance each other out. What guys for each team make the difference. Who is playing well for these two teams that is not a superstar?

I think a healthy Austin Blair is the difference. He is the most underrated player in the region IMO. Russell by 6. 61-55

Welcome Platinum. Ashland will need to try to contain Vanhoose, which may be impossible on his home court. Especially the way he's been playing lately. He's been AMAZING. Tomcats will need to guard the Devils on the perimeter. Ashland will also need scoring from others besides McDavid and Thomas. Wilcox is a very dangerous shooter with the capabilities to score with the best of them. I look for Wilcox to step up for the Tomcats. Word is that Ashland is REALLY pumped for this game, they want to end this 5 game (I think) losing skid to Russell. Devils need to match the intensity of Ashland. Should be a dandy with an awesome atmosphere, can't wait.

Ashland better do there stomping now because they are getting worse every year. The kids play as hard as they ever did but they seem to be missing something. I would have never thought that I would see the day that Ashlands future hung on one player. Drew Mcdavid is keeping the whole program afloat. Are the other players just that bad or is just giving one player the freedom to play just apart of the tomcat system? They better hope he doesnt get in foul trouble or the dickie and dirk show will be shut down for the year!!!!

The last game wasnt as close as the final score indicated, Russell led the entire game, and Austin Blair is now healthy and Ross "big stack" Turner is

now a FACTOR :thumb:

 

ps It was a nice 5 game win streak!

But the biggest difference in this game on Friday is that this time Russell lost their assistant coach. Could be the whole difference in the game.

Even if this were to happen they'll be back on the air in August, and maybe a few times this spring. Remember we have a "program" of sports here at Ashland that tend to be competitive year in and year out. :thumb:
