Did Joseph play for Newport? Not in the box score.

Throw in Turner getting hurt if he didnt play this likely explains the 21 pt margin, not to mention Hatton's physicality on Snapp.

Joseph played.

Dixie and Newport could play 10 times and the result would be the same everytime if not a bigger margin. Dixie just has way more talent and size across the board than Newport does.

Newport didn't play a real big. That's What they didn't play much. Hedger still had 8 rebounds. HEDGER plays because of defense. Who else besides B.H. is strong enough to guard other teams bigs?

Was there ever any doubt that Dixie would beat Newport, not in my mind. Will be a different story against Holmes.

Did BH defend any of the NCC biggs earlier in the season?

If I remember correctly, nobody on Dixie's team "defended" any of the NCC bigs earlier this season.

Hedger is great against a big that is more traditional and plays with his back to the basket.

Dixie played Holmes to an 8 point loss in their sixth game of the season. I understand that Bolden, Chames and McClendon didn't play the first quarter but Dixie played them even in the second half and Dixie is not the same team they were back on December 21. I don't know if Dixie will win but it wouldn't be a shocker (to me atleast) to see them pull the upset.

And I'd like to point out that Hedger has done very well against Chames in previous games. Hedger's strength matches up well against Chames, Andrew defends him well and rebounds well against Holmes.

Dixie was beat at ever spot on the floor 1 to 5
