This was a good game until late when Cordia pulled away.

Who will they play first round of the All A?

^ Winner of the 8th Region

potential Cordia/Brossart matchup in the quarters

Cordia must have still been celebrating their tough semifinal win over Hazard. Even though Leslie's record doesn't indicate it, they're still a team that you can't overlook. It was close until the last quarter and the Lions finally pulled away, and a technical on one of Leslie's players helped boost their lead. They'd better not take the 8th region winner lightly. I remember when Buckhorn had the big Day boy 2 years ago and had one of the better teams they'd had in years, actually knocked off region favorite Perry Central later in the year in the first round of the district, that they played 8th winner Owen County in the All A State Tourney and got thumped by 18 points.

Congrats Cordia. I'm happy for Cordia to get their first ever regional title in basketball history. I understand this isnt has big as winning the region at the end of year to advance to Rupp but huge accomplish for their program. This will be Cordia's first appearance in a state tournament for basketball. Once again congrats to the Lotts Creek community and especially he has taken a lot heat the last couple years. Coach Rhodes.
