I predict a new team will be on top of the BCS (BluegrassPreps Composite System) rankings next week.

 

I think Ballard should still be #1 based on their total body of work. Not sure who #1 would be if it's someone else?

I honestly think that Ballard played like the tourney was theirs after they beat Trinity. They didn't seem ready to play and fell behind early. PRP came out and bunched Ballard in the mouth from the opening bell. The Doss and Trinity games took a lot out of them no doubt, but you still have to finish and they didn't.

 

On the flip side, that had to be Q's worst shooting game ever and it still took overtime to put Ballard down. This could turn out to be a "Good Loss" and lesson learned that you have to be ready for everyone. Getting Douglas back next week only helps them down the stretch as well.

I suspect fatigue played a large role in Ballard's performance tonight.

All good choices but I believe Manual's Dwayne Sutton deserved to be on this team. He had 32 points and 13 rebounds in their OT loss to Iroquois.

22 games in 48 days in 3 states (KY, MO, TX) I think you could possibly say that fatigue played a part. Just saying even for high school kids, that's obscene. 10 days until their next game should give them some time to recover and get some things fixed.

 

PRP with an impressive record since the New Year, they'll be a (big) player in March for sure.

Ballard has a great team and losing this game proves they are beatable. I suspect losing to PRP will only make them stronger. As far as the ranking goes, who cares. Proof is in the pudding.

That next game is at Doss. 2 nights later they play St X, then the next day they play Nashville powerhouse CPA in KOB Showcase. Rest will be good, then right back to the brutal schedule.
