Would love to hear details about this one.

Nice bounce back win for the Breds.

Congrats to Newport Central Catholic.

Now on to the All A. Lots learned about yourself in this tournament. It's the kind of event that only serves to make you better.

Ben Weyer and Drew McDonald named to the All-Tourney team..........Great job !!!!!

Would love to hear details about this one.

Justice being held to 3 in the first half tells me that there was a combination of him not being "on" and that someone did a nice job slowing him down.

14 pts, 6 rbs for McDonald.

24 pts, 6 ast for Justice

And Mike Fields tweeted the final was 59-56 not 56-53

I was sent a picture of the final stats sheet......but its too blurry. :banghead:

From the looks of it, Schulte , McDoanld, Pangallo, & Grant Moeves all in double figures. Justice and Hall for Knott double figures.

Now that the tournament is over, does anyone care to confirm if Schulte was ill during this one (at least the earlier stages of the tournament)?

During the Cordia game (as you can see in the updates thread), I noted that some NCC players (namely him), were already tugging at their shorts during dead balls midway through the third quarter. After the game, I spoke with another poster on this who noticed the same thing, and said he thought it had occurred during the first quarter too (I was a little late to the game and missed the first period). The poster I spoke with mentioned that he thought an illness could be the reason why we noticed this. In hindsight, an illness would be one explanation, especially this time of year and with the amount of travel the team had done.

Anyone care to elaborate any further?

Christon's decline continues to puzzle me. I'd have thought he'd be having a bigger year than he's had so far. It makes sense that he wouldn't really have 10+ in this one when the team only scored 53, but on the whole, I thought he's not had the year I'd expected from him.

Nice shooting game for Grant after a rough game yesterday. He has struggled with his shot lately, but in the past has been a very good shooter. Once he gets his shot/confidence back it will make NCC that much tougher. Hope it continues.
