WOW....Was not expecting this game to be a blowout.....Montgomery defeated Central by 2 just a few weeks ago

MoCo closed the game on a 15-1 run.

 

Prewitt & T. Jones are gone, but the Indians can still blitz people.

Montgomery played really good D! Their bench really had to step up. Cisero, Jones, and Hall all had 4 fouls early in the third.

BEREA — Madison Central fell to Montgomery County for the second time in nine days on Sunday, 67-47 in the championship game of the Berea Holiday Classic.

 

It was the same story as in their previous loss to Montgomery — missed free throws and turnovers proved too much for the Indians to overcome.

 

Central (8-2) out-rebounded Montgomery by 17, 43-26, but shot only 11-of-23 from the free throw line and threw the ball away 23 times to only eight for Montgomery County. - See more at: H.S. It was a 3-9 point deficit most of the game. Much closer than the final score sounds. Montgomery has too much size for Central, and Central didn't play well at all.

And, looking at the brackets at the gateway, these two could meet again in the championship game Sunday night

Looking forward to trying again if there is a game #3. I'll be there rooting on our good ole' homegrown kids that grew up right here in Madison County. The wins mean a lot more when it's done that way. Not trying to start anything just being real.

No, he moved here. Only the 2nd time in 10 years I've seen a non Richmond kid on the team. This includes the Championship team. To each his own, Scott Co. has been doing it for years. I, for one, am not impressed when a "assembled" team like that gets wins. Just not impressed by it. Hardly think 11 was recruited to play here. He had 3 points. How many points were scored by the tranfers on your team ? 54-3=51. I'll let you do your teams math.

I follow several central Kentucky teams and have enjoyed watching Madison Central's kids thru middle school and last years run. They have a very good team again this year. Another yes/no question. Did Bosley move from Indiana to Madison Central his Sophomore year? As a Madison Central fan, I did not remember him there before that time. Hear he is doing great at Weselyn. I know he had family from the area. No accusations of recruiting or assembling as you mentioned above, yes or no will do.

Yes, Ken-jah and his family are from Richmond. Ken-jah lived here as a kid then moved to Indy due to a family situation, then back to Richmond as a Sophmore. He became a starter for Central a year later in his Junior year. Pictured below is a Madison Middle School team which includes Dominique Hawkins, George Walker, Quan Taylor, and Daniel Parke, all starters on the Championship team. Call me touchy if you want, but facts are facts.
