Could go either way, but I'd probably take Trinity in this one.

I think just think the Rocks are going to be tough for Lafayette to beat. They seem more well rounded 1-9 and if they still play Szabo's physical, grinding style, then I could see it being rough on Lafayette, especially Harrison.

Does anyone expect Jackson Davis and Raymond Spalding to match up on one another defensively or will each coach try to protect their star instead of risking foul trouble?

Trinity won by 14 last year, but Lafayette is better this year. Did anyone see last year's game, and if so, do you care to comment on how it went and what both tried to do, etc.?

JokersWild,

I think you nailed it. If the guards and forwards are able to clamp down defensively, I like the chances that Trinity has to really disrupt Lafayette. That said, it's still pretty early in the season and Ivory's likely still getting used to playing with a partner in the press that is at least a step slower than James Quick.

I haven't seen the Shamrocks this year; tonight's going to be my first look. Based solely on second-hand accounts, I'm going to give a slight edge to Trinity.

I was wondering this as well.

Like you, I think Trinity has a slight edge. I'll take them 61-56.
