December 8, 201312 yr Hasn't fickell been the DC since 2005? He's been mostly a linebacker coach and CO DC. The OSU AD made arrangements for Fick to be kept when UM got to town. As well all know in business, deals are subject to change.
December 9, 201312 yr You are right about depth of some Running backs. I just think teams that have the ability to get under center are more physical. I actually think you have just as many options under center and can have more men at the point of attack. In a spread as I mentioned you can play power football, and you can actually have more men than under center if you do QB power. Also out of the spread you do have more options, you could obviously pass or run. You have more misdirection stuff too, you have the ability to read people each play if you do zone read stuff, or counters. On one single play call you may have 3 different options you can do out of it. You don't have that many options under center, unless you run an option offense out of center.
