bcfan24
Enjoy.... This Week 1. Pendleton Co. (22-2)-Highlands coming up on the 18th will be an interesting game... 2. Clark Co. (17-7)-Great win at the Fieldhouse against Mason last Friday night, Lafayette coming up tommorrow night... 3. Mason Co. (17-8)-Get a rematch with Pendleton coming up on the 24th, tough loss at home against GRC last Friday... 4. Bishop Brossart (15-9)-Lets not jump off a bridge yet, (I did have thoughts of dropping them to sixth, but I still think they are fourth best...) 5. Harrison Co. (11-10)-At home against Mason tommorrow night will be critical, you still dont know what team your really going to get..... 6. Bourbon Co. (13-9)-4 game winning streak, should win out before their very important first round district game against Montgomery at home on the 28th.... 7. Campbell Co. (8-13)-I think the 10th goes in phases, there is the top 3 (PC, GRC, MC), then the next tier (Brossart, Harrison, Bourbon), then we get to Campbell, Scott, and Montgomery... 8. Montgomery Co. (14-10)-They move up almost by default...... 9. Scott (12-11)-They haven't won a game since Janurary 12, and while I think they have more talent than Montgomery, I cannot justify keeping them at #8.... 10. Silver Grove (14-9)-The Grove or St. Pat? Take your pick. Tiebreaker on Silver Grove's victory earlier in the year, but the spot easily could go to St. Pat..... Last Week 1. Pendleton Co. (21-2)-Quality region wins against Scott and Harrison keep them way ahead in this weeks poll.... 2. Mason Co. (16-7)-Beat a quality Brossart team in Cold Spring, they deserve to move up a couple spots.... 3. Clark Co. (15-7)-Tough loss to Holmes drops them down a spot, will get a chance to regain #2 spot tommorrow night in the Fieldhouse... 4. Bishop Brossart (15-7)-Loss in the All "A" final along with a disappointing effort against Mason drops them down a spot.... 5. Harrison Co. (10-10)-Loss at home against PC, but nice win against Boone.... 6. Bourbon Co. (11-9)-Decent district win on the road against Montgomery moves them up one..... 7. Campbell Co. (8-11)-Move up a spot almost by default thanks to the struggles of Covington Scott.... 8. Scott (12-10)-7 game losing streak, they haven't won a game since January 14..... 9. Montgomery Co (12-9)-Tough back to back losses at home against Bourbon and at Bath.... 10. Bracken Co. (12-10)-They beat Silver Grove, they move up to #10...... Having a weekly poll it is more of a "what have you done lately." So how can you use a first week of December loss (by one point I might add) to justify a spot in a poll that has the heading of 2/16? Not saying your wrong, just curious in your take on it.
panther15z30
1. Pendleton Co......22-2...Rolling right along 2. Clark Co............17-7....Proved they were No. 2 after beating MC 3. Mason Co..........17-8....Tough loss to GRC, but now ready to make a run 4. Bourbon Co........13-9...Four straight wins, likely to make it 7 before tourney time. 5. Bishop Brossart...15-9...4 straight losses, and the schedule doesn't get easier. 6. Harrison Co........11-10...Tough schedule remaining but it helps to prepare for PC in the District. 7. Montgomery Co..14-10...As Freak said, they move up by default. 8. Campbell Co.......8-13...Yeah they play a strong schedule, but only 8 wins? 9. Scott................12-11...They once won 9 straight, now its 8 straight in the opposite direction. 10. St. Patrick.........11-13...Won 9 of 12, This will be no slouch come Tourney time. 11. Silver Grove.......14-9...3 straight wins always helps to get back on track. 12. Augusta.............7-14...2 nice wins last week, they're gelling at the right time. 13. Bracken Co........12-12...3 straight district losses and then you draw Mason. They're falling apart. 14. Deming..............6-14....have lost 3 straight and 4 of 5. But a great draw in the District, the real season starts in two weeks. 15. Calvary Christian..8-14...They end their season this Saturday. They may need that extra preparation time if they want to get out of that District. 16. Nicholas Co.........2-18...Only 2 wins, but a Region birth is possible. 17. Paris.................3-16....Is this team going to win a game inside the 10th? :flame:
wildcat14
How many teams do you actually think have the potential to win the region? Personally I think only three can put together a run that would allow them to make it to Lexington. I think those would are PC, GRC, and MC. I do believe that several others are capable of beating any of these three but I don't think they can string enough games together in a row to cut down the nets in Maysville. Brossart would have been in this list a month ago but I don't think they can put together enough in a row at this point. I do think they could be a major spoiler though. Silver Grove has played very well lately, so has St. Pat, the only fair way to split it was head to head IMO... How many teams do you actually think have the potential to win the region? Pendleton's going to have to play really bad to lose in March IMO, but I agree, the only other teams I see having a legit shot are GRC and Mason..... Imo PC is the team to win the 38th district and the 10th region, other contenders would be GRC, MC, and maybe a sleeper team between Montgomery Co, And Maybe Brossart. bcfan24
Still can't figure out how St. Patrick isn't in the 10 spot? Silver Grove has been just as good lately, they have a better overall record, and they beat them earlier in the season..... St Pat or Silver Grove for the 10 spot? You can flip a coin, my coin landed on SG....
