I want to put out a big congratulations to the Wayne county program. Everyone from the last player on the bench to the Superintendent. Wayne has followed the county school blueprint to perfection. Integrated feeder program from LL to MS to HS. Hit the weight-room. Staff of good fundamental coaches.

Coach Thompson has been patient and put in the work. They deserve a special shout for not looking for excuses. They deserve praise for not being afraid to develop a QB and balance the offense.

Excellent post!!

Excellent post!!

Agreed.

I was honored to open my home and share a meal quite a few years back after a game in which Coach Thompson came to scout and get extra film on an opponent. The man goes the extra mile for his kids, his team. I agree whole-heartedly; excellent post to a well deserving Coach.

Good post. Sounds like a team we should all support. Programs are built like that, from the bottom up with a solid foundation in the feeder programs and a lot of dedication on the coaching staff.

I'm looking forward to facing the Cardinals this week in Bowling Green.

I'm rooting/picking them to win 3A! Good Luck!

It truly has been a testament to what can be achieved when an AD has patience and let's a Coach take enough rope to build it the way it should be built.

What is even more impressive is it seems that Wayne County has success for years to come as their Middle School is very strong.

In this "Need Results Now" culture it is refreshing to see what can happen when people simply trust their coach instead of trashing the whole thing and re-starting. Win or lose Friday Wayne County has a lot to cheer for and a lot to look forward to!
