Opening season clash of state heavyweights on Monday night in Louisville. On paper, Ballard is the state's top team, but Scott County is Scott County. Who wins & why?

This early in the season I will go with Ballard on this one.

Can't believe that this thread hasn't gotten more posts. We have two of the top teams in the state squaring off to start the season.

No difference makers. There might be a few football players that play JV and dress Varsity for basketball.

I'd think Ballard will look to give Scott County's guards a lot of trouble with their pressure.

Scott Co still figuring out how to play with the new big kid so I would guess Ballard in this one. Probably not too close.

Strongly agree with you that Scott County will have much better days ahead than what they show in this game.

I believe Ballard is 8-10 points better now with a veteran squad who is on a mission. Billy Hick's team (Scott County) always is better after Christmas and they must adjust to the big man as well as Teddy Ware who transferred from Henry Clay. Ware is an excellent perimeter shooter and the big man could be a defensive force in the middle but I see all this coming together later in the year. I have to believe that Coach Renner's Bruins are on a mission this year and very focused. Love to see this match up in March.
