I think Crosslin really wants to be a Cardinal. His miscues are keeping the Panthers in reverse. Mayfield's D is picking where they left off in the last meeting of these two. Russellville is another example of a team that won't get over the hump until Myers teaches the forward pass.

Russellville goes 3 and out on there 1st possession, Mayfield goes 3 and out on its 1st 2nd half possession, Russellville goes 3 and out again on its 2nd possession, now Mayfield is moving the ball and has it 1st and goal at the Panther 7 yd line.
