Carroll County travels to Gallatin County friday night trying to even the score with the Wildcats. Carroll takes a 4 game winning streak into the contest, including a win last Friday over Newport. I say the Panthers take it home 34-27.

I'd like to say that my neighbors directly to the east will win, but Gallatin County is 9-2 at the moment, with a 6 game winning streak. The Panthers will need some big changes to overcome the 35 point deficit from the early matchup during the season.

Turnovers and penalties killed us in the earlier game. We are playing so much better right now. I think we have a great chance.

Turnovers and penalties did hurt Carroll in the first game, but I think Gallatin's offense had a pretty big night as well. You're right though, that was back in week 7. Should be a great atmosphere and good game.

Agreed, that game was closer than the score indicated. I still give Gallatin the edge in this one.

I agree with the fact that the first matchup was in week 7 and it is hard to decide a score after that game. It seems as if CC has improved since then, but so has the Wildcats. Gallatin should have nothing to worry about. Carroll County is still Carroll County. The Wildcats will move on to play NCC with the final score being GC 42 CC 14. Go Cats!

Any key injuries (or recoveries) since the first matchup that might be a game changer this time?

Gallatin County got Brady Lawrence back last week. According to KHSAA Stats, he did not play against Carroll last time.

Not assuming a GC victory by any means, just curious. If GC wins, will they the NCC-WV winner the following week? Anyone know?

Yes, the winner of this game will play the NCC/WV winner.
