Call me crazy but I think a team out of the 11th could make noise this year! LexCath, Lafayette, Bryan Station, Henry Clay, Madison Central and of course Scott County. The team that survives this region will be a worthy opponent!

 

 

i agree lafayette will be a strong contender...

My top 5 contenders as of right now: So. Laurel, John Hardin, Bryan Station, Scott Co., Shelby Co.

In my opinion however there are about 15 other than the top 5 teams who could pull it out this year. I would also look for: O. Catholic, Lex. Catholic, Henry Clay, Holmes, Cov. Catholic, Elizabethtown, Jeffersontown, Eastern, PRP, Male, Ballard, Fern Creek, Highlands,Pad. Tilghman(sleeper), Pendleton Co.(my favorite coach in state), for some reason I love the way Buddy Biggs coaches, he just seems to do things the right way.

You should have seen Biggs coach before Elliot transferred to Pendleton he was very ordinary then!! :thumb:

The year before Elliot was there he had a good team. Unfortunately Chris Lofton was much better.

To the contrary, Coach Biggs has been blessed with some very good athletes. However, it does take a little talent as a coach to bring out the best in each player. Yes, Big Pat was a tremendous addition to the program, but Pat was not quit as domineering last year as this year. He had some tremendous players with him. I believe this year has been the year we hoped for last, not knowing what to expect from him last year. With the departure of Belcher, Verax and O'Hara, Pat has really stepped up his game to become the go to guy, this was not expected of him last year. Just look at his numbers. The bottom line is that no one expected this years team to have the season they are having, except for Coach Biggs and the players. So lets give a little credit where credit is do. Coach Biggs has done a tremendous job at PCHS since his arrival.

Scott County, Elizabethtown, or one of the Louisville Schools. I just can't see South Laurel being able to repeat. If they do they are truly a very special team. Repeat - That just may be the motivator they need.
