October 29, 201312 yr Has to be up there. He was an overweight mess when he arrived in Lexington. As a freshman who would have thought he would be a early entrant to the draft. Now he is getting ready to start his 16th season in the league. He averages just 6 points per game over his career. It is amazing how some of these guys find their niche in the league and just hang around forever. At the end of the day he has 2 NCAA rings, and an NBA ring. Not a bad career at all. Well put. :thumb: And I forgot about him being an early entrant.
October 29, 201312 yr I had no idea that it was that many. How many have won a Ring in the NBA? Rondo, Prince, who else has a ring from that group? Nazr has a ring.
October 29, 201312 yr ^ Spurs right? Either 2003 or 2005? Edit: 2005. Just looked it up. Was only a passive fan of the league and didn't watch much before about 2006 or 2007. Had no idea Mohammed was a starter on that title team.
October 29, 201312 yr Well put. :thumb: And I forgot about him being an early entrant. I remember being bummed when he left.

October 29, 201312 yr I remember being bummed when he left. It's all coming back to me now. Won the title in 1998 & then Elite Eight in 1999. If he's on that 1999 team, UK is probably in its fourth straight Final Four.
October 29, 201312 yr He started? Yeah. I'm looking at it now on Basketball Reference. Was brought in mid-season from the Knicks and by the time the playoffs came around he was starting. Averaged over 22 minutes per game in the Finals. That said, he started but played only the sixth-most minutes on the team in the playoffs. He was brought in for a reason: looking at the stats from that year, Mohammed led the Spurs in rebounding percentage and block percentage; had better efficiency rates than Tim Duncan that season.
October 29, 201312 yr Author If you are tall and can move your body up and down the floor you can make $30M in the NBA. Amazing.

I never would have guessed Nazr to play that many minutes, much less start for that title team.
