Ryle 42 Covington Catholic 21 (Frosh)

I would think it would be Ryle's decision if this game is played. They won the last game and are in the driver's seat. If CovCath would've won, then it would be their call.

I disagree. The regular season is just that, the regular season, then the teams with the best records should play for the Championship after the 9 game regular season ends.

It makes no sense for the team that won the regular season match up to decide if a Championship Game should be played or not.

Don't you think matchup's, plays, etc., were held back in the match up last week in anticipation of playing again in the Championship Game?

I say let the Blueboys play. Let the kids play as much as possible. It will gain valuable experience playing in good competitive games. With it looking like no "lock em" game this year for CCH, this may be last chance Frosh get to play this year.

Didn't some of the freshman play this past weekend in the varsity game against Harrison Co.?

I don't get this 'lock em game' stuff anyway since you could just use the 'financial' excuse to switch schools if you don't like the way things are going for your child at a parochial school. Hasn't that been the excuse in other threads....

Illogical response. Because times change? is not a valid answer to the question of whether a team that prepared at a high level mentally, to be successful in a big game, is now required to do it again against a team they already defeated, to try to prove a point (to whom) that they already proved ?

Thoughts of being on the other side of 2010 on your mind? I am sure Ryle varsity fans love that they got the second chance that year.
