1) Notre Dame - too many athletes. Just don't see them getting beat when it counts.

2) NCC - scare me because if you can find a way to shut down Kiernan, they struggle to score. ND can shut her down.

3) Holy Cross - could be the surprise of them all if Turner is eligible.

4) Highlands - a lot of shooters and scorers with varsity experience. All ball handlers too.

5) Boone - Sweitzer, Knotts and Fookes.

6) Conner - lost almost all their scoring in Scott. Really like Myers, just not sure they have enough scoring around her. I know they have young talent, but its young talent.

7) Dixie - Tibbs is long and getting stronger.

8) Cooper

9) Ryle - maybe not this year, but lookout the two after this!

10) St. Henry

Highlands is there because my daughter plays...why else?? No, I honestly think that's where they can rank. I agree, they have some question marks and one being consistency, but they have 2 starters back and 4-5 girls that were high game scorers at least once last year, even with all the seniors they had last year. So young, yes. But experienced youth. I do think Boone could very easily be that 4th team, but again...my daughter!!!

Hey mommy\daddy goggles are great. I wear mine all the time..And the season will soon be here so all of of our questions will be answered . I wish the best to all girls and hope that NKY girls basketball starts getting more attention. Because there is plenty of talent in all the teams mentioned in the top 10 of the 9 th region.

I agree & was saying the same thing when I heard the news this summer!!! A coaching staff change is sometimes rough the first year but in the long run this is great for Cooper's program!! I'm curious to see how NDA fairs with their new coaching staff. You can have a teamful of talent but it's on the coach's shoulders to make them winners!! A Good Coach can take a team with half the talent & win championships when it counts...like Fookes does every year!! (Although the last few years she has had talent helping her cause!!) Anyway you look at it this should be a fun year to watch 9th region basketball!!

Conner returns Myers, Maines, Hendricks & Gambrel..all 4 have Varsity experience. They have a few sophomores that saw minutes at Varsity level last year returning. Myers will have to pick up their scoring that was lost. She showed she could at the end of last year. Blue collar worker last year...will have to become "the offense" this year. I think she can. The others I wouldn't consider "scorers". Two of them are sophomores (good sophomores), but they could have breakout years! They do a lot of things very well, but they don't have a history of being scorers. That could change though. They definitely have the potential. That would be my only concern from Conner.

Agreed, but will not be easy now that defenses will not be focusing on Jordan Scott. But, I am confident that Coach Stamm will put her and the team in postion to be successful.

I expect Myers to have a big year for Conner this season and along with Maines and the 2 sophomores (Gambrell and Hendricks) things are definitely moving in the right direction in Hebron.

I agree with your last statement. I think that will be the big question for Conner this season. Who will takeover the point when Gambrel needs a breather or gets in foul trouble? How deep can Coach Stamm go into his bench and still remain competitive? There first four or even five will be very solid. All the parts and quality are there for them to be successful. It is just the question of how deep or not so deep will Conner be.
